Hi everyone!
I wanted to introduce myself. I am a 25-year-old female. I currently weigh 226 pounds at 5'4". And my, oh my how that number has gone up and down on the scale. I was always on the chubbier side - but nothing too crazy. My senior year of high school I weighed 165 pounds. Then, I graduated, met a guy, and lost some weight. I ended up being around 130/120 pounds at my lightest. I had about 27% body fat. All in all, the guy and I broke up and I ended up really struggling with my college classes and the number on the scale started to creep up.
I then met my lovely future husband in the second semester of my Sophomore year at college. We started to date, we went out to eat quite a bit, he told me he doesn't mind chubbier women - in fact, he prefers them - and here we are today. 226 pounds and I believe I am at 50% body fat; which is high.
I also have some measurements I took earlier this month but I have to find the journal I put it in. I honestly just want to feel better. I feel bloated, and my tummy hurts often. But I love to eat. I am a special education teacher and that job can be stressful. Nothing makes me feel better than when I come home after a long day, eat dinner, and then snack on the couch - except for the aftermath of that snacking which is feeling bloated and knowing my health is deteriorating with every bite of the delicious snack food. I have a stationary bike and the Peloton app. I also have a gym membership. So, it isn't like I am not able to exercise. I just don't.
I want to write a little post every day (or maybe every other day) and go over how my day went. I am really just looking for a community of support. I want to feel better. I hate having my skin break out, not being able to fit into my clothes, or fit into normal-sized boots - I need ones with wide calves.
I think my mini goal for the next 30 or so days is to work out 3 times a week and add a veggie to lunch and dinner. My overall goal is to feel better - to be able to walk upstairs without feeling winded, sit comfortably in a chair, be able to have 30% body fat or less, lower my LDL, and be within a normal weight range for my age and height.
