My dad has always been a big guy. He has an active job, he's a contractor, but he eats a lot. He always tries these fad diets, loses a few pounds and then gains double the weight.
Just tonight, we saw a play. He had to climb a few stairs to get to our seats, and he looked like he was going to have a heart attack. When the play finished he was limping and I honestly thought I should call for an ambulance. He had a bad case of covid, so maybe that could have affected him too.
Luckily he just took some medicine now, but I can't take it anymore. This is my Dad! I want him to live for a long time. At this point, I feel like he'll get a heart attack at any moment.
I'm thinking of sitting him down and telling him he needs to see a nutritionist and even a therapist. Whenever I bring up the topic of weight he gets super depressed.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
