We are in Dubai, and my ‘starting to show some signs of early dementia mom, after being persuaded/pressured by a really tacky and pushy sales guy, got out of her wheelchair and crawled a few steps into the little market stall.
She comes out of said store having just paid over 2000AED ($600ish), but looking at the two skirts and scarf she had gotten, it is rather obvious that what she actually got can't be worth more than maybe (if I'm beyond generous) $30-50. Without knowing entirely what was said in the store, I think the salesperson basically could have said anything and my, now basically immobile mom would have felt (IDK? Pressured or guilted, I guess?) into doing it.
I don't really know if this is the right place and all. And considering she agreed on the price I don't know if I even have a case here.
Still, I just want to know if there is anything I can do with either the credit card company or the government to get said money back and, more importantly, not let the immoral piece of shit who scammed a woman in a wheelchair get any reward for his scam. Thanks
