Disadvantages of AdSense

Disadvantages of AdSense

As AdSense has become the most popular publisher program for cost per click advertising, flaws and disadvantages still exist. Advertisers have chosen to advertise in search since its inception because they felt that visitors would

be less targeted. This is a real concern and one that makes perfect sense. If you're visiting a website, and notice an ad, chances are you're not specifically focused on its content.

AdSense has also become so popular that people can distinguish them from other ads. That's why people can choose to ignore them without thinking.

This has been a hot topic of discussion by bloggers and there can be a lot of truth in it. Many have blamed Google for this, and their decision to include text that says "Ads by Google" at the bottom of the ad.

Many publishers also fail to generate the expected revenue while launching the program. People who are getting only 30-40 visitors a day on their website will not be likely to earn even a dollar in a day. Many advertisers talk of rates as 1.5% - 5% for traffic to click conversions, while only getting around $0.10 per click. The math doesn't work out very well, but you can hardly blame advertisers or Google if it's not bringing in enough traffic. The key is to bring targeted traffic to your website that is likely to click on ads, although that said, this may be easier on other programs that allow figures such as 75% of ad revenue for publishers.

Another disadvantage in AdSense is that it becomes almost difficult. Its presence on websites, which usually seem to be designed in a DIY fashion, prompts people to associate them inextricably. It can only be developed through AdSense to become more attractive to big brands, while those who currently use AdSense are restricted.

Google AdSense will also have to deal with the issue of click fraud, which is estimated to count for over 15% click through rate in content. This means that advertisers who have been particularly affected have moved to other programs or narrowed their ads to search.

This means that there is less competition in content and therefore less revenue for publishers. Publishers who previously had high-yield ads now have to

tweak their content to make sure they get any ads. This has largely been the fault of the publishers themselves but the point is; If not addressed, it can bring AdSense to its knees.

Google AdSense also has the disadvantage of not paying enough for its search program. Other similar programs pay higher rates, and will cause problems for advertisers and publishers alike if publishers decide to go elsewhere. Although Google fails to pay enough for search, another major problem with AdSense is that it doesn't have a powerful database of graphic ads. Many advertisers prefer to display Drive ads graphically, although this is not yet implemented. Problems can be caused by the existence of many other programs for PPC graphic distribution.

While this may not be a problem for all publishers, many complain that the ads on their sites don't change, so their frequent visitors fail to see the new ads so they don't visit them. This is a problem that can be solved by rotating the ads. However, if the ad spins, how will that connect with the pay per click advertisers? These are all problems that Google has to solve to ensure that AdSense remains the market leader.

AdWords, on the other hand, also has major advantages, and remains the best in the market. Its CPC rates can be chosen by advertisers so that when they feel they are not getting results, they hope that they can lower their prices while using the service.

While many issues remain with AdSense, the program still remains the most popular among publishers, while Google AdWords remains the most popular among advertisers; With a database of over 140,000, AdWords will remain at the top for times to come.
