I’m only 18 [female], so I don’t know if my gain has been from lounging around during the pandemic or just crazy ass teen hormones or a mix of both. I feel totally lost because sometimes I feel likes it’s all my fault, but at the same time I also hear wild and random weight gain/loss is common during teen years and evens out afterwards.
Before the pandemic, I was at the peak of my athleticism and good choices. After, I totally fell off my game because I couldn’t participate and be held accountable in PT with my unit anymore and was bored in the house all day without being in school. At the time I was 160 and 5’7.
Post-pandemic, I’m now 5’8 and 180. Now that I’m back in school, it’s frustrating because I’ve resumed all my activities and habits I did before all this started, but my weight has plateaued at 180 no matter how much or how little I eat.
I’m just tired of it and I don’t know who to listen to anymore. It’s always a switch between “just barely overweight” and “it’s normal because you’re growing”.
What the hell is going on??
