Hi! I recently quit drinking and want to get serious about my health and shedding the extra pounds I’ve gained throughout the pandemic/my drinking. I’m 24F, 170cm and 150lbs, looking to lose 20-30lbs. I’m not all that set on the number as a target, as long as I can get rid of some extra fat around my thighs and stomach, and get some definition/strength/stamina back.
I work 9-6 M-F with a one hour commute each way and while I eat relatively healthy (no particular diet but always fresh home cooked meals), I don’t know where to squeeze in workouts, or even what kinds of workouts I should be doing (cardio/strength). For those with busy schedules, when do you do it? What are the most effective workouts that can be squeezed in quickly? Is there a beginners guide where people usually start out? Good apps for beginners? With my schedule I don’t see a gym as an option even if I wasn’t too self conscious.
Sorry for all the questions, I’m clearly new to this. Any advice is appreciated!
