Hello, so I’m just looking for some advice on how to get started. I used to post on this subreddit fairly frequently but over the last year or so I’ve gotten off of my weight loss journey. Currently I am taking a break from school, due to stress and mental health. I currently work a job that allows me a lot of free time to myself actually, whereas before I barely had any. So I’ve been wanting to get back into losing weight. I am 25F, 5’3 and I currently weigh 180lbs. I want to get down to about 150 and then go from there.
I am wanting to start with portion control as I’ve tried CICO in the past and while I believe it works I just struggle to do calories with recipes I make. I also have 2 friends that have had success with the same portion control containers I had so I just want to see how it goes. The trouble is, I feel lost all of a sudden on how to eat healthy and then be successful. I want to incorporate working out - but I actually ended up spraining my tail bone back in September 2021 and so I know I need to ease back into it. I’ve been wanting to do GrowwithJo’s walking workouts because they are low impact, and every other time I’ve tried a workout challenge or calendar I fall off after a couple of days. I am just struggling to have motivation to start. I know motivation isn’t constant but I just feel like I am not motivated enough to even start even though I desperately want to look and feel good again.
Does anyone have any advice on how to push myself into starting snd staying on track this time?
